Lucknow– Acting under the direct orders of Police Commissioner Amrendra Kumar Sengar, and in a bid to maintain strict surveillance on criminals, Lucknow Police have successfully cracked a major theft case and apprehended a wanted criminal. This achievement comes as part of an ongoing campaign aimed at solving crimes and apprehending wanted suspects.
Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vishwajeet Srivastava and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha, and with supervision from Assistant Commissioner of Police Chowk Rajkumar Singh, the Chowk police team arrested 25-year-old Arpit Mishra, son of Chandrakant Mishra, a resident of Umri Vishunpur, Mohammadpur Khala, Barabanki. Police recovered a significant haul of stolen silver, amounting to 32 kilograms and 468 grams.
What Happened? The incident was reported by Tarashankar, the owner of Shivkamal Palace, on 26 January 2025 at Chowk Police Station. In his complaint, he revealed that his employee, Arpit Mishra, had absconded with approximately 33 kilograms of silver jewelry on 25 January 2025. Given the severity of the crime, the Chowk Police took immediate action, forming a team to track down the culprit.
Thanks to reliable information from informants, police tracked down Arpit Mishra and apprehended him on 27 January 2025 near Kudhiya Ghat. Along with the arrest, the stolen silver was recovered and returned to the victim.
Police’s Swift Action Leads to Major Breakthrough The Chowk Police’s quick response not only resulted in the arrest of the accused but also ensured that the stolen property was recovered, providing justice to the victim. Legal proceedings are underway against Arpit Mishra, and police have vowed to continue their stringent efforts to monitor and crack down on such criminal activities in the future.
